The Fortniters won the toss and elected to bat first, setting a challenging target for the Masters. The opening batsman, Prajeet Tirumala, started aggressively but was dismissed for 9 runs by Vivaan Gupta. Kshirin Seeta, however, held the innings together with a well-constructed knock of 34 runs from 29 balls. Unfortunately, he was adjudged leg-before-wicket off the bowling of Yaksh Chaudhary.

Hrehan Dutta played a patient innings of 15 runs from 24 balls before falling victim to the bowling of Shushruth Yadukumar. The standout performer for the Fortniters was Mehul Verma, who played a blistering knock of 89 runs from just 37 deliveries. He smashed 9 fours and 5 sixes, providing the team with crucial momentum. However, he was dismissed run-out in the final over. Abhinav Singh, Somit Mandlem, Tharun Premanand, Aaditya Raj, Neville Bhinday, and Shreyansh Soni contributed valuable runs to propel the Fortniters to a formidable total of 217 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

The Masters bowlers struggled to contain the Fortniters batsmen. Among them, Shushruth Yadukumar was the most successful, taking 2 wickets, while Aditya Pawar, Sourish Tiwari, and Advay Punit Ware chipped in with a wicket each. However, the Masters bowlers conceded 43 wides and 7 no-balls, which added significantly to the Fortniters total.

Chasing a daunting target of 218 runs, the Masters got off to a shaky start. Ayush Saha and Sourish Tiwari were dismissed early, falling to the bowling of Mehul Verma and Prajeet Tirumala, respectively. Bhavik Khadke and Aditya Pawar tried to stabilize the innings, but their efforts were in vain as they were both dismissed for low scores. Yaksh Chaudhary provided some resistance with 19 runs but had to retire hurt due to an injury.

The Masters struggled to build partnerships, losing wickets at regular intervals. Harfateh Singh Kharoud, Vivaan Gupta, Shushruth Yadukumar, Advay Punit Ware, Amogh Dharmadhikari, and Jay Patel failed to make significant contributions. Ultimately, the Masters were bowled out for 117 runs in 19.1 overs, falling short of the target by a substantial margin.

For the Fortniters, Somit Mandlem was the star performer with the ball, claiming 2 wickets for just 6 runs in his 4 overs. Aaditya Raj, Prajeet Tirumala, Hrehan Dutta, Shreyansh Soni, and Mehul Verma also made valuable contributions, picking up crucial wickets.
