Date: 14th May 2023 Venue: Skarpnäck Sportfält
Teams: SCC U15 Fortniters, DIF CC U15
Toss: SCC Fortniters won the Toss and elected to bat first.
First Innings - SCC Fortiniters opening batters started the innings steadily observing the opponent opening bowlers where excellent from DIF. Our both opening batters Prajeet Tirumala & Zorawar Bhatia got out quickly with similar fashion stumped and got very disappointed with decision as it was noticed that on the pitch the crease lines are not clearly marked and unfortunately no one has noticed it before the match start. But it was a good lessons for both teams to be more cautious while batting and we respected the decision from the umpires.
Later our middle order batters Ninand Mahajan, Rohan Gore, Tharun Premanand have shown great courage and played very good confident shots, Ninand has scored 25 runs out of 23 balls with 4 4s boundaries, Rohan has scored 37 runs out of 37 balls, 4 4s & Tharun has accelerated the run rate by scoring 21 runs in 14 balls by hitting 3 4s boundaries. Overall it was team everyone has tried contributing to a very good target score of 160/8 in 20 overs.
Second Innings - SCC Fortiniters U15, we had a short strategy discussion with team, we have challenge in our team for wicket keeper, both Prajeet Tirumala & Somit Mandlem came forward for wicket keeping (10 overs each) & stood for the team contribution. Our opening bowlers Zorawar Bhatia & Pranav Patibandla bowled very well by keeping pressure on the opponent batting openers & in the end dead overs controlled the net rate by not allowed for shots, during the middle of the overs our bowlers Kshirin Seeta, Somit Mandlem & Rohan Gore bowled excellent which has contributed a lot wining the game by putting pressure on the batters in the end and it became difficult for the opponents to chase the score and at the end SCC Fortiniters comfortably by 18 runs. There are improvements we have missed 5 catch opportunities and fielding chasing the ball at boundary lines, which we have discussed after the match and will work on the improvements in our next training sessions.
