Botkyrka won the toss and decided to go into bat.

We felt very confident with our strong bowling line up to restrict them to a low score. The king of swing Torsten opened the bowling along with mr wheels Srikanth. Srikanth striked early with 3 quick wickets in the first 6 overs proving to be too quick for the first three batsmen, with great catches from Wicket keeper Jacob Ledbrook and mahesh standing close to the batsmen at mid-off.

Torsten got two wickets in two balls bowling both batsmen out with incredible swing. The others bowlers in the attack came in and restricted well with Jeffery getting 1 wicket and Ayyappa also setting the batsmen up nicely to take 2 wickets also. It was a great day in the field with no drop catches and some great catches from Sourav in the deep. We managed to restrict them to 115/8.

With the score set let we felt confident but knew we had to not loose early wickets to stay calm and not get complacent. Vasanth who is incredible form this season opened the batting with Sourav our batsmen of the year last season. They both opened superbly in the power play both keeping a strike rate of 130 and no wickets lost. We then lost some quick fire wickets but with so many overs left with many wickets in hand we felt very calm. With Vasanth looking after his own wicket and staying in till the end to win us the game in the 13th over for 117/4.  

It was great captaincy from Anil & a great team effort with team spirit running high to get us our 2nd W of the season.
