Stockholm CC lost their Swedish Cup T10 match against Tridents Women by 10 wickets.

In an exciting encounter at Skarpnäck, Stockholm CC faced off against Trident Women XI in an Womens Swedish Cup T10 match. Stockholm CC won the toss and elected to bat first, looking to set a challenging target for their opponents.

 

The opening pair of Neha Porob and Saroj Bhardwaj took to the crease with the intention of providing a solid foundation for their team. However, the early breakthrough came for Trident Women XI as Neha Porob was dismissed for a duck, caught by Alesha R off the bowling of Tridents Pearl Bilimoria. This early setback put pressure on Stockholm CC.

 

Saroj Bhardwaj fought valiantly, but she too fell victim to Pearl Bilimorias bowling, being dismissed lbw for a score of 8 runs. Sana Firdaus tried to stabilize the innings with a few boundaries but was eventually caught out by Pearl Bilimoria after scoring 8 runs.

 

Stockholm CC Dam continued to lose wickets at regular intervals, struggling to build substantial partnerships. Haripriya Surendran Nair and Prisha Tirumala contributed 1 run each before being dismissed lbw by Sneha G and run out by Alesha R, respectively.

 

As the innings progressed, Stockholm CC faced difficulties in scoring runs and building momentum. Deepali Jain Tripathi, Priyanka Tirumala, Helena Delmotte, Niti Rawat, and Spoorth Krishnarajanagara Sridhara did not bat.

 

Eventually, Stockholm CC reached a modest total of 54 runs in their allotted 10 overs. Pearl Bilimoria was the standout bowler for Trident Women XI, finishing with figures of 2 wickets for 6 runs in 2 overs. Alesha R, Suchi Siwach, Shilpa Rani, and Sneha Gosavi also chipped in with crucial wickets.

 

With a target of 54 runs in front of them, Trident Women XIs opening pair, Suchi Siwach and Sneha Gosavi, took to the field. They started strongly, scoring runs consistently and taking advantage of some loose bowling from Stockholm CC Dam.

 

The opening partnership proved to be formidable as they put on an impressive 55 runs in just 23 balls. Suchi Siwach played a commanding innings, scoring 13 runs, while Sneha Gosavi provided solid support with 8 runs.

 

Stockholm CC Dams bowlers struggled to break through the partnership, with Prisha Tirumala, Deepali Jain Tripathi, Helena Delmotte, and Saroj Bhardwaj unable to claim any wickets. Trident Women XI comfortably reached the target of 54 runs without losing a single wicket.

 

Trident Women XI emerged victorious by 10 wickets, displaying a dominant performance with both bat and ball. Stockholm CC will need to regroup and analyze their performance to come back stronger in future matches.

 

Pearl Bilimoria was awarded the Player of the Match for her crucial contributions with both bat and ball. Her exceptional bowling figures of 2 wickets for 6 runs in 2 overs proved pivotal in restricting Stockholm CC to a modest total.
