Match Report - T10 vs Alby Zalmi CC

Stockholm CC lost to Alby Zalmi CC by 10 wickets in their first T10 match of the season.

Stockholm CC Womens team faced off against Alby Zalmi Ladies in an SvC Ladies T10 match at Skarpnäck Cricketplan. Stockholm CC won the toss and elected to bat first, hoping to put up a competitive score on the board.

 

However, things did not go according to plan as Alby Zalmis bowlers came out with a strong performance. The first wicket fell in the third over, with Sai Joish out for just 3 runs. Sana Firdaus followed soon after, out lbw for a duck.

 

The middle order struggled as well, with Neha Porob and Niti Rawat out for ducks, and Prisha Tirumala out for just 2 runs. It was a difficult time for Stockholm CC, but Helena Delmotte and Haripriya Surendran Nair put on a partnership of 10 runs to take the score to 46 for 8 wickets.

 

Deepali Jain Tripathi and Saroj Bhardwaj tried to add some late runs, but it was not enough as Stockholm CC finished their innings with a total of 56 runs for 10 wickets in 8.4 overs. The top scorer for Stockholm CC was Helena Delmotte, who scored 10 runs.

 

In response, Alby Zalmi came out with a dominant performance, with both openers remaining not out to guide their team to a 10-wicket victory in just 3.3 overs. Stockholm CCs bowlers could not make any breakthroughs, with Signe Lundell and Asma K contributing 23 and 10 runs respectively.

 

Overall, it was a tough day for Stockholm CC Womens team. The team will need to regroup and come back stronger in their next match. The Man of the Match award went to Signe Lundell for her outstanding bowling performance, taking 4 wickets for just 7 runs.
